FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- All season traction
- Increased controllability
- Tread damage resistance
OVERVIEW
The Accelera Ultra-5 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vans.
The tire offers excellent year-round traction. The detailed symmetric ribbed tread block placement, along with the sipe and groove placement, and the all season compound enable the tire to increase its dry, wet, and winter grip. Additional biting edges generated by the tread elements improve traction, while the compound keeps its rubber flexibility. Circumferential grooves channel water and slush from the footprint, preventing hydroplaning in wet conditions. This ensures a safer all season performance.
The special tread elements enhance controllability. The double semi-ribs, the ideal sipe placement, and the tough shoulder blocks all work together to create surface contact at all times. Maintaining its surface contact improves steering responsiveness and driving stability. The shoulder block pattern firmly grips the road surface with extra biting edges, optimizing cornering even when over- or understeering. The sipe and groove placement create friction when braking, which significantly shortens its stopping distance. This ensures the driver’s better control over the vehicle.
The Accelera Ultra-5 offers a lengthened usability. The tough shoulder blocks optimize traction and stabilize the footprint. In this manner, tread flexing is effectively prevented. This allows the tire to protect sensitive tread areas from tread damage. Avoiding the tread’s chipping, cracking, and tearing significantly increases the tire’s overall service life.

There might be discrepancies of sizes between brands and models of tires which have this size formatting. As the manufacturers only provide the tire width and the rim diameter with these tires, various brands and models will have size differences. In order to ensure the correct size is purchased, the overall tire diameter that is needed should be checked.
The Overall Diameter or O.D. advertized represents the tire's overall diameter in inches, once the tire has been properly inflated and mounted per the manufacturer's recommendation. This advertised number is provided to Priority Tire by the tire manufacturer.
